OUR MISSION
Our ranch did not begin with the intention of growing the way we have been. The very first horse we had in fact was a quarter horse who's name was Chocolaté (en Español). After Chocolaté, came El Payso. Both of these horses were the gems of something that would then become something even greater. Those two horses were what we thought of to be some of the greatest animals in our family. I mean how many people can say that they had a pet horse growing up as children?
Throwing it to about 5 years later, we discovered a horse that took on so much nobleness and elegance in its Trot, Gallop, and overall aesthetic. At this point in time, we began to go to events where they showcased Caballos Andaluces. These horses originated from Spain which are also known as caballo Pura Raza Español (P.R.E.). When you see a horse as beautiful as a Caballo Andaluz, all you can think of is how can you get one?
After the success of breeding an American Quarter Horse with an Andalusian to create an Azteca, we realized that it just wasn't enough. Our vision was to breed horses that were going to have the same nobleness and beautiful temperament as many purebred Andalusian horses. We began to do some research and speaking to colleagues who have had many years of experience with the breed. The founder, Juan Manuel Ponce Vega, then began to take the knowledge that was passed on to him so that he can later create what is now known as, Yeguada Ponce Vega.
Juan Manuel's passion for horses came at a very young age throwing it back to when he lived in El Capulin, Michoacan. He migrated to the United States with the intent that he would create a beautiful life for himself and his family. Little did he know that the life he imagined for his family would include building such a beautiful Yeguada with some of the most beautiful, and noble Andalusian horses. Just like anything else, there is always room for improvement and room to grow. Since the start of it all, we have been doing our best to work and collaborate with the some of the best breeders in the community. Yeguada Ponce Vega's mission is to be able to deliver and share that same knowledge and opportunity that was given to us as newcomers to all of our friends and to be able to present horses of high quality to potential breeders and clients who are looking to also expand their equine family or just have an addition to their family.

NUESTRA MISSION
Nuestro rancho no comenzó con la intención
de crecer como lo hemos hecho. De hecho, el
primer caballo que tuvimos fue un cuarto de
caballo que se llamaba Chocolaté (en español).
Después de Chocolaté, vino El Payso. Ambos
caballos eran las gemas de algo que luego se
convertiría en algo aún más grande. Esos dos
caballos eran lo que pensamos que eran algunosde los mejores animales de nuestra familia.
Quiero decir, ¿cuántas personas pueden decir que tuvieron un caballo como mascota cuando eran niños?

Lanzándolo a unos 5 años después, descubrimos un caballo que adquirió tanta nobleza y elegancia en su Trote, Galope y estética general. En este momento, comenzamos a acudir a eventos donde presentaban Caballos Andaluces. Estos caballos son originarios de España que también se conocen como caballo Pura Raza Español (P.R.E.). Cuando ves un caballo tan hermoso como un Caballo Andaluz, todo lo que puedes pensar es cómo conseguir uno.

Después del éxito de criar un Quarter Horse americano con un andaluz para crear un Azteca, nos dimos cuenta de que no era suficiente. Nuestra visión era criar caballos que tuvieran la misma nobleza y bello temperamento que muchos caballos andaluces de pura raza. Comenzamos a investigar un poco y a hablar con colegas que han tenido muchos años de experiencia con la raza. Luego, el fundador, Juan Manuel Ponce Vega, comenzó a tomar los conocimientos que le fueron transmitidos para luego crear lo que hoy se conoce como Yeguada Ponce Vega.

La pasión de Juan Manuel por los caballos llegó desde muy joven echándola de regreso a cuando vivía en El Capulín, Michoacán. Emigró a los Estados Unidos con la intención de crear una vida hermosa para él y su familia. Poco sabía que la vida que imaginaba para su familia incluiría construir una Yeguada tan hermosa con algunos de los caballos andaluces más hermosos y nobles. Al igual que con cualquier otra cosa, siempre hay margen de mejora y espacio para crecer. Desde el comienzo de todo, hemos hecho todo lo posible para trabajar y colaborar con algunos de los mejores criadores de la comunidad. La misión de Yeguada Ponce Vega es poder entregar y compartir ese mismo conocimiento y oportunidad que se nos brindó como recién llegados a todos nuestros amigos y poder presentar caballos de alta calidad a potenciales criadores y clientes que buscan expandirse también. su familia equina o simplemente tener una adición a su familia.
